The Vaish Cooperative Adarsh Bank Ltd. has started its journey as a small Thrift & Credit Society in 1936 by its founder members late Sh. G.S. Bansal, late Sh. Pool Chand Jain, late Sh. Khayali Ram to fulfil the financial needs of the people to uplift their economic status. It is the result of dedication, sincerity and honesty of the founders of the society that the T.C. society became Delhi’s first Cooperative Bank which was permitted by RBI to carry out banking business in the year 1964. In the year 1984 RBI granted license to The Vaish Cooperative Adarsh Bank Ltd.
Thereafter, process of granting licenses to open branches was started and the Bank opened 11 branches one by one. Out of these 11 branches, six branches i.e. Darya Ganj, Karol Bagh, Azadpur, East of Kailash, Gandhi Nagar & Rohini are housed in its own premises.
Bank’s Head Office, Centralised Clearing & Operations, IT and Recovery Departments are also housed in our own building at Darya Ganj New Delhi.
The Bank was adjudged the Best Performing cooperative bank for the financial year 2004-05 by the Delhi State Cooperative Union Ltd. and Cooperative Department of the Delhi Government and a shield was presented to the Bank by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit.
